| I assume this is out of pocket and not employer provided. What's your budget for housing? |

| It's out of pocket. My monthly rent is 2000 - 2500RMB. I don't know if that can be /should be divided between 3 people. |

| For a half-decent 2/3 bedroom apartment you need to at least double your budget. 3 bedroom in Chongwenmen is going to run to between 5 and 6k. |

| Is it possible to rent a room only in Beijing for 2000-2500rmb per month? I thought a recruiter told me that's what she pays in Beijing for hers if I remember right. |

Look for a room in an already-tenanted flat.
The deposit etc will blow any budget if you take the place yourself. |

I'd tell the recruiter, "Fine, I'll move in with you."
2-3 K won't get you much inBJ even shared. |

| How many month's deposit is it for a room only then in BJ/China? Is it one month's rent and one month's deposit (for a room only in a shared apartment) |
