I have been doing exactly as you said and just turning up on the door but many a few schools have given me interviews and requested more details about my qualifications. Hopefully I will get a decent job.

What salary should I be expecting to get when it comes to negotiating ?

Salary depends on qualifications and relevant experience, which is why they're asking for more details about yours.

Other than a BA in Pscyhology and a PGCE (in ?), what's your specific teaching experience? And do you hold a CELTA/equivalent TEFL cert? Also, by "schools," do you mean university/vocational colleges? Or primary and secondary international schools?

Plus, be aware the Saudi government does not accept degrees/credentials that entailed online study. This info would be verified by your university registrar as a requirement of the employment visa.

PGCE is the Post Graduate Certificate in Education. It is the way to to attain qualified teacher status in the UK. If he has the QTS part of the PGCE, (gained by observed teacher placement in a school) surely schools would jump at him. He would be licenced to teach in the UK.

If he has the PGCEi (i being international) he has a teaching certificate (from a university) but no qualified teacher status as there will be no observed teacher practice

A PGCE for which grade level (primary or secondary) and/or subject area? This is an ESL forum, so it's easy to assume the OP is qualified to teach in a vocational college or university English foundation year program. However, that's likely not the case.

Anyway, potential employers will determine what the OP's quals are worth.
