I am wondering how long the Education Bureau keeps resumes on file.
I passed the interview and written test for the PNET scheme last year.
Someone had told me that records of those passing the above steps were kept for two years. Really?
As interviews are conducted annually, that doesn't seem to add up.
Does anyone currently working a PNET know how long files are retained?

| Nobody really knows I'm afraid. But the latest rumour over at the NET forum is three years. Sadly there are thousands already in the pipeline for fewer than an annual seventy or so SNET/PNET combined vacancies. |

| As a returnee to the system after a couple of years out of the country yet still teaching, do you think that the probability of being placed in a school might be higher than those trying to break into the system for the first time? |

If you still have a network of contacts that you can call on - definitely yes. Not all positions are advertised widely, word of mouth does sometimes play a role in getting an interview. |
