For all those who have experience in applying for the Z-Visa, What exactly did you put for sections 2.4, 2.5, and 2.6? I have just received my work permit and invitation letter but I haven't purchased my plane ticket yet. Am I supposed actually buy the ticket before I get the Z-Visa are all these sections guesstimates of my itinerary? Any and all help will be appreciated, Thanks for your help! |

2.4 Just guess when you'll be arriving, be on the safe side and put an earlier date though. e.g. a week or two before the term starts.
2.5 365 days if your applying for a z visa.
2.6 School name and number.
That is all I have ever filled in and have never experienced any problems. Good luck. |

A+ what blox said.
Re: Buying your ticket
No, you don't have to buy your ticket before you apply for your visa.
The best thing to do is to find out from your boss/FAO when you are expected to be at the school. Send your papers to the Chinese consulate about ten days to two weeks before that date. When your visa arrives, book your flight.
Since you have the letter of invitation in-hand, if you feel lucky, you could book your flight now,
I assume that you will be starting during a summer term, so don't wait to get an answer re: your expected time of arrival. |
