Hello all - I was wondering if anyone has done the DTLLS online while overseas? I note that you can get QTS through this. I'm in the Middle East right now, in a military gig, but may look to move at some stage in the future, in which case QTS might come in handy.
How did it work logistically? Are military teaching hours recognised? How did you sort out the observations? How many/intensive are the written components? How long did the whole thing take? And were you indeed able to use the DTLLS to get QTS with minimal fuss?
Many thanks for any and all info |

The Diploma in Education and Training is an initial teacher training qualification, studied at QCF Level 5, for teaching in Further Education (FE) and the lifelong learning sector of education in the United Kingdom. Study for the Diploma in Education and Training typically follows the completion of the Certificate in Education and Training at QCF Level 4 and the Award in Education and Training at QCF Level 3. The Diploma in Education and Training qualifies a teacher for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status from the Institute for Learning. The Diploma in Education and Training replaces the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

I'm American --- too much alphabet soup for me. Anyway, why not email your questions to several UK universities that presently offer this qualification? |
