Finance Committee of the Shoura Council has proposed to levy 6% tax on the foreign remittance by expatriates. After its implementation, *SR 60 tax will be imposed to transfer SR 940 to your home country*. Read more about it in the below link http://goo.gl/OaHIhV

The key word is "proposed." Various ideas have been proposed and never materialized. Eventually one of them will...

I wonder if it will affect teachers whose pay is automatically transferred to their US account.

Expect a major exodus of all those teachers it affects. Why put up with all the crap and restrictions of life in Saudi for even less money than the current declining salaries and benefits...
