Anybody else experience this phenomenon?

Back in May or early June, I had applied for a summer camp job in Shanghai. I did an interview and demo over Skype and was told I got the job, and the guy would be sending me a contract and more details. Never heard back from him. Now I've just accepted a 20k RMB job in another Tier 1 city starting in September. Did the interview, they offered me the job, emailed me a half-assed contract which I signed, but I'm kind of wondering if they'll pull the same thing.

This is why you should vet potential employers.

Not likely, this is a real job and not one of those willy-nilly throw together summer camps
Bit like Nomad said, due diligence is required
