Thanks very much everyone for your responses.
Yes, I just need to be patient! I do like to be proactive though, so I did contact my university who said they had not received anything from the SACB. This kind of worried me because documentation was submitted 4 weeks ago. The thing is, I have not submitted the documentation myself, but a third party-an agency- has been taking care of all this...the agency seems very competent...I dont know if I can do anything to speed things up and so hanging tight is all I can do
@Abu Dawud, did you submit documentation yourself or through an agency?
And does all documentation have to be addressed to the same person (ie, is there one main 'cultural attache'?).
thanks! |

Lavender122 I'm sorry for the late reply been very busy getting ready to leave London. As for your question I used a visa agency based in London, I paid a fee for them to do all the run arounds and my Celta attested in 9 days. The UK cultural bureau used a system called HDD to check my university accreditation but generally all attestation goes to one person but my Celta Cambridge knew about the process and who to send it to strangely enough.
I know some people who started the process same day as me and still waiting for theirs to be attested. |

Thanks, Abu Dawud. All the best with your move. I hope you have a great experience!
Your degree must have been part of the HEDD scheme (or whatever its called), which means verification is not required and hence is quicker. I went down to SACB last week in person and spoke to someone there. They were very nice and despite all my paperwork (from my University) being ready, still told me they couldnt promise it would get sent to my agency right away. And now the Eid holidays have come which means offices are closed!
There is some good in this delay, of this I am convinced but its just the feeling of being 'in between' and not knowing the time frame. The saudi 'inshaAllah!' (said so convincingly) hardly inspires confidence though it did make me smile as it was the response to all my questions |
