As for working in China, yeah, the country sucks in every possible way except for the money you can make.

The work options are definitely the main draw. The south of China does have a few more redeeming qualities than the north though.

So it sounds like people don't really know.. but the HK option is probably a good one to be safe . Airticket prices are higher for that one though and plus I've only got a week. Then again HK is one of the places on my to see bucket list...

I have 9 years of experience teaching English in 6 countries. China is errr not at the top of the list in terms of visas, labor laws, and money...however there are TONs of job vacancies (due in no small part to the first 3 aspects). You'll hear ppl saying u can go there and work 3 tutoring jobs and do this and that in addition to your regular gig to make more cash but doing that in China you still won't be one of those rich fckrs business men or corrupt govt workers driving around in a new Audi...in fact in China you basically can't drive at all as a Lao wai unless you want to deal with the massive hassle involved...whereas hmmm here in the USA I have a new BMW 328i, I was driving an ebike in China. being a poor or overworked English teacher: I'm too old for that now. I had the funds and time to go to grad school and there was a window to see China in there so that's pretty much what I did.. now I just simply wanna go back for a week and I'm trying to sort out the visa issues.
