Received this email this morning. Has anybody had any experience with this company? It also might be of interest to some of you potential job seekers on here.
Cheers:
I noticed your profile on Serious Teachers and was wondering if you are still seeking a solid post for the upcoming Fall season. We are expanding in Shanghai, China, and now have positions available from K-12. Our curriculum is American and we are adding American AP, additional English Language Arts, and are in the final stages of approval for Cambridge CIE (IGCSE & A-Levels). Additionally, we are beginning interviews for post of kindergarten and primary department. If you, or a talented and responsible teacher that you know might be interested, please contact me at the email below.

They responded to my resume on ST.com, if I recall correctly.
Nothing stunning, in terms of job offers.
I think they (recruiters and schools) look at us (foreign teachers) with blinkers on. They don't seem to take into account our experience (particularly Chinese specific experience).
Looked through my emails - can't find anything from them, but then again, once I've read the email and replied I delete it, otherwise I'd clog up my inbox.
Let's see how it rolls (I'm interviewing with the two top private language labs in Vietnam, so my break-for-freedom might be coming up). Otherwise I need to suck up another year of Chinese air until I make another jail break. |

That one came through to me too. Question is - what exactly is it? Are they a a training centre or a school? |

After going to the site and looking over their services, they certainly do not appear to be a school, but rather a recruiter on behalf of schools along with other services. The wording in the email is purposely vague, but it certainly seems to me that they are trying to portray themselves as an actual school. Hence, the relationship is starting with a lie. Do you wish to continue it? |
