Anyone know this recruiter? International Teachers Plus
Are they new?
Six HOURS of in-class teaching sounds like a lot, plus two hours of office. So it's a full 8 hours not counting prep. Does that sound like a lot?
And what cities are they going to be in?
thanks |

I believe you're referring to this ad: http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=44262. International Teachers Plus is located in Canada and is solely a recruitment agency. You'd have to find out which Saudi for-profit company they're interviewing for.
There are seven universities listed: University of Hail, King Khalid University, Majmaah University, University of Tabuk, Northern Border University, Qassim University, and University of Bisha. You can look up each university for its location. However, the ad clearly states that "location is determined once the candidate arrives in country or as soon as they know where the need will be." In other words, you'd have no choice where you'd be sent.
Thirty teaching hours per week isn't appealing. But hey, the company wants to get its value out of the teachers. |

Most definitely a drop in salary especially per hour.
How strained would your voice be after talking for a solid 6 hours everyday for 5 days per week? Sounds like a lot. |

You're teaching English language skills; you shouldn't be talking so much. |

I do not know - I have seen classes in Saudi where Teacher Talking Time is 100 percent. This is often the style preferred by students !

That wasn't to be taken literally.
I realize teachers should not speak continuously.
If posters are going to post on that, please start another thread.
Let's stay on topic.

I see another post from a different company recruiting for the same position but even lower salaries. |

You don't mention what level of pay you expect, but since nothing about this position excites you, look elsewhere. |
