Advert posted by an agent called "Middle East Jobs". The advertisement states
Quote: |
Iqama holders keep their passports; Business visa holders have immediate access to their passports |
Newbees to the Kingdom beware. This ain't gonna happen. It's important to remember that, provided your employer has the right connections, anybody can be stopped at the border. Even if you have a business visa. |

Found it rather odd they specified that in the advert, almost as a selling point. Could they really stop an FT from doing a runner if they have a business visa, and the FT has passport in hand? Just curious on....not advocating it, I know curiosity killed the damned... |

At least the company is informing job seekers up front.
This tactic was used by the Saudi British Centre (SBC) five or so years ago and was indicated in their job ads. It's a way for the business to protect its "investments." |

Have heard of SBC before....not sure if they do business visas though. A few agents are desperate....even a fly out ASAP/tomorrow, get a visa in Bahrain, start work immediately type of job. Had a few of those emails, if you can adam and eve it!? Seems that a lot are desperate for their commission or to fulfill a contract! |
