[Where does anyone want to go in Riyadh anyway even if it's out in the sticks? You can't go anywhere in Riyadh much except restaurants and mobile phone shops. I had a coach take me to and from my accom when I was at Al Faisal Academy. Took 30-45min each way. 4 trips a day. Maybe it's better to stay out in the sticks. Is the accom provided and nearby AARC?]
I said the college is out in the sticks. The accommodation provided was in Al Khuzama suburb, on the edge of town, 4-5 staff sharing a unit on a compound. Even in that area there is hardly any local colour in the form of cheap eats etc. Al Khuzama is about 30mins by car to the airport/college.

I lived across the wire on KFUPM Campus. Visited the Airbase to do IELTS Exams. The place had the aura of a correctional facility in one of the more backward States of the former Confederacy. |
