Chifeng Shaughnpin International Kindergarten, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, China.

The kindergarten is an "international" school with nice facilities. However, no one in the head office speaks English and the foreign teacher liaison struggles with English as well. They know nothing about employing foreign teachers or work visas. Therefore, they cancel and change employment contracts as they see fit. So once they decide to cancel your contract since they cannot provide a work visa or for any other reason, they give you the run around on who will pay you or continue to pay you should you stay. I can go on and on if you like about the poor accommodations, poor treatment of foreign teachers, late pay on salaries, etc. I left the school with them owing me nearly one month's worth of work. The decisions of the school come from the owner, Mr. Tian. The school is new with nice facilities, but the problems that exist are internal. I was informed that the school is already broke and a time may come soon when they will not be able to pay us our salaries. The school is a solid family run business with zero expertise in Education. I would like to warn any teachers considering to teach at any of his 5 schools in Inner Mongolia and 1 school in Hainian Talent & Learning, Sanya to stay away! The foreign teacher in Sanya experienced similar problems.

In addition to my long list of complaints, the other foreign teacher I was living with gave her 30 day notice, per her contract. The next day, Mr. Tian canceled her contract and told her to contact her recruiter for her next pay salary. She also lost over 3 weeks of pay and had to leave with no other job lined up for herself.

Mr. Tian, also recruited a Russian teacher, along with his Chinese girlfriend from Shenzhen to the school, informed him they would assist him in obtaining his visa, he went all the way back to Russia at his own expense to obtain this while his girlfriend taught PE at the school and when he got back, the school informed him they did not have a job for him and his girlfriend. Apparently, they did not like the girlfriend from what I understand and let them both go.

My warning is to stay away! You will end you losing more money than you are making, taking on this venture and it's just not worth it!
