Hi Everyone,

I am currently in China.

1. Right now, I think SUPPLEMENTS to existing public school curriculum are good.

The country has millions and millions of people doing a government curriculum of (very basic) English reading and vocab, math, and science.

2. But, the real weak link is listening and speaking, especially in real-world settings.

3. Any websites, videos, books, etc. on how to create really good lessons for English listening + speaking only

4. I know I could have put this on the China board, but I appreciate the insight of the whole group better.

Maybe you should refer back to your other thread, Most Fun Ways to Help Oral English Students.

There's no reason why you can't easily find activities on the Net to modify for your own teaching situation. Besides, your CELTA training should have included lesson planning. Confused
