Has anyone any relatively recent experience of setting up a language school in Spain? Do people do it anymore, or is the market pretty much dead?
If anyone does have any experience, I would be very interested in knowing more about the process! I’m sure it is complicated, just looking into it vaguely at the moment.
Thanks, |

I think the demand is till there but there has been quite a proliferation of 'Academias' and you always need to do more to keep the parents happy - things like a film afternoon or Halloween party etc. And guess the summer months are tricky with the long hols that they have.
Where you thinking of setting up? You definitely need to be with someone else too... |

One of my former colleagues did it in Valencia about 4 years ago. It's definitely doable.
When I was there from 2013-2016, academies were opening up left and right. If that has continued since then, the competition might be pretty cutthroat. |
