I can not stand it when men whistle or when they shout stuff at me. Gardeners, construction, workers, etc. Do they really think that by saying "hola guapa" or singing that I am really going to stop and talk to them! By them saying or staring it makes me feel gross. Such dirty men out there I tell you. If they really want someone to stop and talk to them I would recommend a different approach. Funny thing that happened to me once in a local pharmacy is this Brazilian guy started following me around the store. I finally got rid of him by going to the condom aisle picking up a huge box of condoms and proceeded to the cash register. The guy gave me a look of digust and left the store. I just laughed. Being female is awesome but it doesn't give you all the freedoms of men. I work out and I can say I am fit. I really have to sometimes think about my outfits before I go out by myself because I don't want the attention. I am just glad to hear other ladies are having the same issues. |
Women are just as free as men. Okay you need to worry about what outfit to wear but so do men. Only most men want the attention and so need to buy expensive outfits in hopes of being noticed.
About the wristling, I think most of those guys are just showing off amoungst their friends. Most probably never thought that maybe the woman is taking it wrong.
If there is a God, God must be a joker to make men and women look at sex so differently. |

Why do men do this? It's not necessary. Many women out there like blue-collar guys, even prefer them to the white-collar, "stiff" types. Even well-off women. Some want to get away from the stiffness of their backgrounds. Guys don't need to dress up.
(Just my two cents! |

Women often say that but in fact, it is the guy with the nice clothes and nice car that gets noticed. When I went to college, I bought a new car and then everyone started noticing me. It was so funny! I suddenly changed, because of what I owned. |

Good point, but you men need to think quality, not quantity.
I know it takes many men many years, and many payments, to get to that point. Most men get it when they are about to have to file for bankruptcy...it's actually better to dress poor, will save your wallet many moons of heartache. |

I always get scared when strangers whistle at me. I just keep walking really fast and look straight ahead and pretend like I can't hear them.
This past winter I often wore an ugly wool gray jumper (American for a type of dress) with maroon tights. When I'd put on my big winter coat, only my maroon legs would stick out. I got so much attention on the street and I just hated it. I'd get so nervous. When I told my adult students that men whistle at me when I wear this, one male student looked at me and said,"But teacher, don't you like it when they look at you?"
I was so surprised he though I'd like it. Maybe I'm way too modest. |

Women are so funny! Women complain about being wrestled at, but what do women do to men? I took a yoga teachers course in a very rich place. I saw how women would prey on men, merry them then devorce them and be set up for the next 18 years. I was once used by a woman for sex. I found out later that she had sex with me to get back at her boyfriend. What a great feeling! Because usually, women use men for money! Trust me, women take more advantage of men than men do of women. Oh yea in movies and the media always protray women as the victim but in reality, men are the victim! All a woman has to do is cry and everyone is on her side, even if she is in the wrong. So go ahead cry about being wristled at, but just think of all the women taking advantage of men. All the young women going going out with old men for their money.
One question! Who was the first woman to betray her lover? And just think women have been betraying their lovers ever since!

Chris12--
What?!?! Lynn posts a personal anecdote about feeling uncomfortable with certain male attention, and you respond to her with a misogynistic rant. Did you read her post? What in it gave you the impression that she was the sort of woman that you trashed in your post? Oh, wait, you just trashed all women in your post...
Do your lady friends and relatives know how much you hate women?
And before you say that it's an irrelevant question--it is actually perfectly relevant. You have painted a very negative picture of ALL women, and such a generalization does include those in your life.
And before you rip me for assuming that you hate all women, re-read your last post. It's pretty spiteful.

We need a new term, the male equivalent of feminazi. The feminist movement has created an anti-all-female movement.
Oh well. Now I guess I know what men felt like back in the 70's.

Hello Denise, no reason to rip you! You expressed yourself objectively.
I just had a frustrating day! Women can do that to most men. I always try to establish an honest relationship with women, but wow is that hard to do. Anyway, sorry if I offended you. I had to vent out somewhere. Take care and have a great day. |

Trolls will also sometimes write a "That Wasn't Me" message after a genuine one, attempting to elicit a denial. There really is no reason to give him what he wants, since a "That Wasn't Me" warning merely reminds people to be skeptical. |
