Whats it like living in Shizuoka City. Is it a slow city in the boondocks or a dynamic city with lots to do....?

late response for this but...

shizuoka is a nice city. its close to fuji if u ever want to climb it and close to fujinomiya for all the site seeing. in terms of night life, etc, theres a downtown thats quite lively and most people live out in the suburbs.. i live about 15 minute walk. i like it here.
