Hi,
Im new to this forum and, having had a quick look around, a lot of my questions have already been answered.
This is really directed to all of you in, or those who have lived in, Rome. I'm moving out there in the new year. Accomodation shouldnt be a problem as I have contacts, but I was wondering what the work situation is like at the mo. Im going to do a CELTA course as soon as I get there and then do my best to find a full-time teaching position come the academic year 2005/2006. Before that I'm going to support myself through waitering/barwork and, if possible, private tuition. My Italian is pretty basic, but the idea of going out early is that I can work on that. Is it easy to get bar jobs out there for a little Brit speaker like myself? Moreover, is this a feasible way of living up until September? (I'm most likely moving out in April). As I mentioned, Ive got a couple of contacts, so Im going to hassle them for private tutoring suggestions.
Also, how long before beginning a CELTA course is it advisable to apply?
Cheers anticipatamente |
