"The Guangzhou Institute of Rising Piano Stars" is looking for FT's. The name sounds like a Party creation, or a businessman's sad idea of a catchy ad slogan. On the other hand, it could be ligit/good. They're offering Y7,000-8,000 per mo., with on-campus accomodation. Has anyone heard of this school? If so, what's the word?

Hola!

Well, if you have to give these students English names, I can recommend.

Beethoven
Liberace
Elton (John)
Jerry Lee (Lewis)
Billy (Joel)
Stevie (Wonder)
Ray (Charles)

I want to teach at the "School of downtrodden drunken ex-Piano stars" personally.

Senor:

I don't think I could bring myself to give a student the name Liberace. Though, no problem with the others. Especiially Beethoven- that would be a cool name to have. Very Happy

I was offered a job there at 7000 but I asked for 8000 and they turned me down. I have a degree, a teaching certificate and Chinese experience. They said that I needed a graduate degree for 8000.

I liked the name and the ad said the room came with a toaster and that sounded pretty good to me.
