Just wondered if anyone had worked at this school before? Any thoughts? |

Be sure you know what age group you'll be teaching before you sign up. I know "College" is in the title, but Assumption runs schools for all ages and every one of them is called Assumption College (as far as I can tell) except for Assumption University.
Assumption University pays fairly well for a Thai university and it's teachers are more qualified than most. They still require you to sit around in the office when you aren't teaching though (about 30 hours a week). I've also heard of teachers getting in trouble there due to raising Catholic hackles -- but I've never worked there myself so I can really deny or confirm that. I do live right down the street from one Assumption branch and I can say that most of the teachers I see going in and out of there are a pretty motley looking crew. |
