After Portugal I really have no idea where I want to go. Asia is calling my name but then so is the eastern bloc and the middle east. I'm a language nerd so I wish I'd fecking decide so I can start learning the language before I arrive.

I chop and change between Cambodia, Taiwan, Brasil, UAE, Egypt, Japan, Indonesia, Moldovia, Hungary and Russia.

Whats on your wish list?

Melville Island north of Darwin sounds like the place for me. I don't know a lick about Australian Rules Football but apparently the Tiwi Islanders are mad for the game. This is a nonsensical reason for wanting to live and teach in a place, but since when did dreams ever make a lot of sense?

I am tempted by Vietnam, Japan and Czech Republic. Of course, I am nowhere near finished with China... So many places to visit, so many lost souls to help Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil

I'm only in my 30's but have long since lost interest in travelling. I'll now only work in countries I've worked in before and which I share a genuine affinity with. To narrow it down a bit: Malaysia or possibly Thailand.

Ive met teachers, usually in higher paying gigs, who just work in a school and have absolutely no interest in the country. Im guilty of this right now.

Why not settle down?

Somewhere Spanish speaking. Well, it's what I'll be studying for uni for the next two years, so it makes sense.

I'm thinking possibly Spain, and I have some family out in Tenerife. As that's in the EU I can continue my studies there while working...

I really like Latin-American cultures on the whole though, somewhere like Ecuador, Peru or Colombia might be great. Miami's another possible - but I hear that the ESL situation in the US is as bad as it is here in London. Hell, I'll be here in London for at least another year anyway - plenty of time to decide! Smile

After Portugal? Are you insane girl? There is no "After Portugal".

BTW Your avatar looks quite horny. Are you up for a one-on-one with Capergirl, the other horny looking one (I'll get back to you), and Bjork in her new video?

Only asking...

sns

Next on my list: Chile, but I've also been thinking about Croatia (which wouldn't help at all with my Spanish...)

I just got back to China, but this "where am I going next?" question is always in the back of my mind! Frankly, there are just so many places I would like to go. Assuming I don't return to the US and Florida to work on my US teaching credentials (which, since I want to get into the international school scene is probably in my best interest), Taiwan is high on the list, followed by (in no particular order) Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, Poland, Russia, and anywhere in Central/South America. There are many more candidates...hopefully I will get a chance to live and work in all these places before I get burned out on living abroad (assuming this is even possible with me).

Cheers,
Kirk

France looks like the most likely place.

Of course, I dream to teach in earth floored classes in Africa where I will die.

I tried leaving Istanbul before. Didn't like it much. So I'm happy to stay here.

This week's hot list includes Viet Nam, China, Czech Republic, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil.

Unfortunately I'm not really interested in asia. The Czech Republic pays peanuts and is expensive to live in, much like Argentina. Brasil has the visa regulations from hell. I haven't found out enough about Uruguay to form an opinion.

The thing is, latin america is what interests me most. It costs a fortune to get there, work permits are unlikely, wages are low and the place is crawling with Yanks, but I don't care.

God only knows where I'll end up - I expect I'll just follow my nose.

im trying to wittle it down using my "main factors of decisionage" (underlined twice) a)hotter than england. portugal temp would be nice. b)somewhere near the sea. c)good nightlife. d)comparitivley decent pay. so either dead cheap living or a good wage. (tcchyea right.)

did you spot the purposeful mistake? moldovia. doesnt exsist. moldova on the other hand, does. oh and ive just added Lebanon to the list.
