I am going to Japan on a working holiday visa and was wondering that if after a year I can get a working visa to continue working in Japan. I don't have a degree (2-year diploma instead and plenty experience teaching...please no one bite my head off for not having a degree). What are my options? Thank you for your help |

You can not get a full time work visa with a 2-year junior college or AA degree. It has to be a 4-year undergraduate degree. Experience, love of japanese culture, Japanese ability has no bearing on immigration's decision to grant you a visa. You need the piece of paper.
Options?
Marry a Japanese and get a spouse visa
Dependent visa
Student visa but must be enrolled full time. Work part time to cover expenses. |

Your only other choice is to do another two years after the working holiday and get the degree. whatever you think about needing a degree or not to teach here thats what immigration demands, same as any other country when applying for a work visa.
PS what could a native Japanese person with no degree or formal job skills and no English ability do if they wanted to stay in Canada? Not much. |
