Hi ya,
I'm moving to Bangalore at the end of the month, and was wondering if anyone out there is currently living there or has lived there recently.
Cheers. |

So. you're the guy who took the Call centre job.!
There'll; be tens, or even hundreds of thousands of fluent English speakers there, so you shoulgn't suffer from loneliness. |

You are correct, sir. I did in fact take that job; I start next week.
I wasn't too concerned about meeting English speakers (though meeting other "westerners'" wouldn't be bad), I'm more interested in impressions of the city/area.
Cheers. |

My experience was as a tourist last year, but I love the place, and I would imagine that it'd be a good place to live as well. Sure, it's crowded and polluted, but it's a lively city with lots of modern conveniences and plenty of charm. I'm very envious, as English teaching jobs in India seem to be few and far between. |
