I hate to be one of those guys, but...
Has anyone had any experience with Qingdao University? Can you tell me about your experiences here?
What about Qingdao? What is a *gulp* acceptable salary here? Is it expensive to live, etc?
Thanks,
little_horsey

Qingdao is one of the more attractive Chinese cities, good climate, very good beer, an annual event called "Octoberfest" modelled along the German original, and plenty of jobs (in normal times).
A salary of 5000 for 20 hours a week seems to me normal. HOusing thrown in for good measure as should be the sponsorship for your visa, airfare and medical.
5000 is a starting point, a good one. |

I have many Qingdao friends, some who graduated from there. But there contract was as mentioned, "xiao nong" cheap. The salary offer was too low, the hours way too many (20 I believe) and other small things. I would say Qingdao is one of the more expensive mainland cities. Taxis are expensive, but you won't be riding your bike...it's the city of hills. Big water shortage, for instance it is/was illegal to have your sink hooked up to the drain Very clean city, beautiful ocean, I would swim in it |
