| Me wonders how the heck backpackers define "a good city in China"? |

Aren't "backpackers" supposed to be spared the taunts on the newbie forum? I believe that's why it was created.

Roger's taunts are not limited to backpackers or newbies.
It seems he fancies himself as a moderator of some sort.
So, if you have "too many questions", your questions are "too obvious" or perhaps you have "never travelled on your own" then you are a potential victim. |

But you're all missing the point! There's a 'search' feature that can bring up information about specific cities. If anyone cares to peruse the forums, one can see various opinions on different cities, climates, working conditions, living conditions, etc.
You criticize Roger for his responses. WHERE'S YOUR INPUT REGARDING THE ORIGINAL OP?
Denise: It is, a mon avis, a legitimate beef when "Newbies" expect to be served up a city, a school name, a salary expectation, a sample contract, etc. without themselves making the effort to research the existing forums, then ask specific questions to those who may be best suited to making a qualified answer.
I querried whether the OP was French because of the post subject referred to Chine.
Where's Ludwig when you need him? |

I didn't mean to taunt, but well, that's what it looked like!
Still, newcomers can be expected to frame their questions a little more intelligently, can't they? |

Yes, I criticized Roger for his response.
I didn't realize I needed your permission nor did I know I had to follow your rules.
I suggest you start your own website if you have such ambitions.
As for the OP if I thought I could help, I would have.
Wait a minute.
I think criticizing Roger just might have helped, at least the poster realizes we are not all cut from the same cloth. (at least most of us) |

Wowzers: So you have admitted to everyone that you bring nothing of value to these forums? Good for you!
At least the OP realizes that we are not all ignorant, vapid, prattling fools that would criticize someone who has contributed in excess of 3500 posts in an attempt to help others.
I asked a question, Roger made a statement. You contributed nothing.
Your mother is tired of telling you...go to bed, little one. |

I am with Roger and Sinobear on this one (notice the China/e hands sticking together!) --
Asking for a recommendation on a "good" city to teach in China is kind of silly. Does the OP realize that China is a huge country, only slightly smaller than the US?
