It's sad and what not, but he wasn't humanity's saviour. He became a quadrapalegic and then invested into curing himself. I would have been more touched had he invested prior to his accident. It seems selfish but no one can prove his motives for investing in stem cell research. His story is a drama, and humans tend to indulge in them. His passing was no greater than a homeless man poor and hungry on the street corner. (and this is coming from a huge superman fan)
