Hello. I'm a 23-yr-old US native and will be graduating in the spring with a Master's in TESOL. I'm thinking of trying to find work in Japan for a year or two and was wondering if anybody knows of any schools, institutes, etc. that help pay back student loans and find/provide you a place to live during your employment. Thanks much,
dreww

Schools dont help you pay back loans, you get a job with them, save some money out of your monthly salary and send money home to pay your loan down. Best and easiest way is by electronic transfer or have some way to get the bank at home to charge a credit card which you top up on a regular basis. Japanese banks here dont do AP overseas.

Some language schools provide accomodation to teachers, but you really dont wnat your employer to be your landlord as some them then control your private life as well (no visitors at night, who can and can not stay there etc, even spouses) . You lose/quit your job you lose the roof over your head too.

Many will help you find or at times suply accomdation. Paying back the loans is up to you. If you have a lot of discipline you should be able to pay them off i a few years!

I was in your situation over 5 years ago! I paid my loans off in less than 2 years in Japan!

I was also on the JET program which is an opition you might want to consider!

Post more detailed questions and you'll get all the info you need here!

Take care....
