What is the purpose of Dave's cafe..??
I thought it was to find useful information and to help each other..
What a bunch useless noise... Can these people who go on about nothing find another web site for this?? Is there no one that monitors this web site for useless trash that is put on here... Why not a website for those immature bored ones , so we do not have to waste our time sorting out the good information from the garbage.. |

Yeah, we'd kind of concluded that too, and having a bit of boyish fun just adds another dimension. Have a look at the highly successful 'You know you're in China if...' thread. We all got to blow off some steam in a country going crazier than usual right now, and nobody got hurt, did they?

Heartily agree, ma'am. Your post did kind of add to the useless noise, didn't it? Fact is, you don't have to sort through it. Now you know the nature of this thread you can just click on by. Easy! Freedom of choice and all that. Democracy in action. The right to vote with your digital feet.
Ma'am, if there was someone monitoring this site then Mr Canuklehead would have been blasted off it ages ago, and this thread would never have come into existence. Instead, more than a few really interesting posters have given up because his non-stop garbage goes unchecked. Research Minhang Oz, a really decent guy, who just got tired of being constantly tagged and windbagged. Tell me Hamish, Egas, Choncheng, Klasies and others are all making unreasonable posts that deserve the crap that Knuckle lays on them.If the moderators don't listen to us, why would they listen to you?
Perhaps if you really hunt around you'll see that the few who've been on this one so far have helped others, have had input into ideas that affect us all, and have also added a dimension of humour from time to time.
Now having put it into some perspective for you, I have just 2 questions I'd like to ask:
1. Are you Gordon (she told me she was 39) Canuklehead dolled up in a fat dress and bad wig?
2. Are you Kevin Bacon?

Hello Arioch. I don't quite understand your complaint. For a person who is complaining that i write too much you seem to be awfully fascinated by me and following me around.
I see you have added some new slander to your list: "who will take advantage of under age girls and then run away". Your slanders are all lies, these and all others that you will make. I am not going to be eternally provoked into repsonding to you. I'll just say that once.

Unless you have something genuinely useful to say or share, the best thing for you do is put me on your ignore list. Perhaps you'll feel better that way.
I do recommend Yangshuo as a good place to visit. The pizza at the RED STAR is fantastic. In the summer it is refreshing to go smwimming in the Li River.
Why don't you visit there during the summer break? You could go visit Owen Buckand and see what he really has to offer?

The reason? Good, interesting people who post here, and the support several have given me.
So, my pledge to you:
I'll neither post nor read flatulant,inflammatory, rambling, self-congratulatory, over long submissions.
I won't foist my own fruit loop philosophy on others.
I'll stay within the boundaries of standard written English.
I won't use the edit button to change my previous postings, no matter how insecure I am.
I won't engage in private conversation on this forum, even though my ego may tell me to do otherwise.
To roughly quote Macbeth,"....a tale told by an idiot...full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".
However, I won't be hitting the quote button to pad out my pages

Anyway, finally i can understand you were seriously angry about me editing the post. I really couldn't believe anyone could be so uptight. I thought you were trying to kid me as i was kidding you and you wanted to make me blink first. You ought to try to loosen up a little bit, develop a sense of humour. Sure, when i saw i had made a mistake about how much i copied into the quote, i edited the post to string you along a little. I thought you'd see the humour especilly in a country where everybody cheats. Being right or wrong about it meant and means nothing to my ego.
But trying to prove me wrong means so much to you that you were willing to commit cyberspace suicide. And who calls who "extreme"?

I see nothing wrong with playful banter, or arguing different points of view, or sarcasm, or even the occasional"you are such a idiot!", because really, the Bozone is everywhere. We all need to blow off a little steam sometimes. The majority of posters live in countries where they may or may not speak the language, and the opportunities to have honest debate may not come along every day. (Especially, if you are like me, you spend your day in a primary school classroom).
But, really, must one wade through pages of post full of quotes from posts you've just read written by a man who apparently has a difficult time putting a coherent thought together?
Speaking of retiring, why don't you just go away? I think your particular bland of "philosophy" could use some refining. Maybe this would require some complete solitude. Think about it, my friend, think about it. |

I see people here complain when a person posts too much (not just me they also complained about MW and a few others). It seems so obvious thaat you just don't have to read what someone else writes. But this is a small forum with just a few members. Perhaps its like a "turf war" and people feel competitive jealousy. like they say "What's this other person doing here, i want to get rid of him". |

I voluntarily deleted my post about what i posted (which some people gave me unsolicited). It was not a post that God (I mean the Lord God, not Dave) would have me make.
It is unfortunate. This guy? Canuck has no respect for Dave's or what it offers us who participate. It is difficult even to have a decent thread because, as Seth, a level headed guy kind of said, you have to wade through so much of Canuck's manure to get to the real posts.
You know, we have had our fights, sharply different points of views, but that contributes to this forum. There is usually mutual respect and a desire to help others, even if it comes out wrong sometimes. I will write to Mr. Writerman. You know Dave needs us to. Chinese posters are a vital part of Dave's cafe. And if Dave and the other moderators can't see how rare it is for so many people to say, "We need to get rid of this fellow" ...well even a place as might as the Roman empire can fall.
I will write the moderators asking if they can please save the situation before it is too late. I hope some others do as well.
