Hi,
I just finished my CELTA course last week and am keen to work in Hong Kong. At the minute i am in Manchester England. I'm a fully qualified school teacher- I've got a PGCE and taught History and English in England for 4 years. How would I go about getting a TEFL job in HK?

I want to fix one up before I head out, and don't mind teaching teenagers/children or adults. I figure with my experience in English schools I should be OK for getting work out there, but don't know where to start.

You may be fit for the English Schools Foundation - since you are British as were the founders of the ESF.
Not sure they have a vacancy but they do hire every year for a dozen schools they run across the HK territory.

Check out the Guardian teaching jobs online (I don't know the exact address but it's pretty easy to navigate) and www.tes.co.uk. They are still advertising for teachers on the NET scheme (government-run, putting native speakers in local schools). Pretty good salary and benefits. But it's the smog that'll kill you.
