Hi, I have read that you should have a "passport size" photo to email to prospective employers, but what size should that be in pixels? I have a photo that is 700x532 pixels, which would be 2.3 inches by 1.8 inches if printed at 300 dpi, but it appears quite large when viewed on the computer monitor. Any advice here? Thanks.

Suggestion: you should check directly with the employer or with the country. "Passport" photo sizes, colors, backgrounds vary with the country. The sizes will be specified in inches or centimeters; black-and-white or color may be specified; plain background or specific color backgrounds may be specified. Glossy paper or flat? In my case, my passport photos, while the correct size, were rejected because of the white background: they wanted blue. If you have a "local" person assisting you, the bureaucrats can be sometimes circumvented. Advice: once you arrive at whatever country, find a local as soon as possible to whom you will pay relatively small fees to get things done. Also, the local can give small "donations" to grease the bureaucratic wheels, which you should not do. You fund the local to do the "greasing" and stay out of it.
Also, be prepared to have an abundance of these photos in the correct format. Depending on the country, you may need to provide new photos for everything from work permits to driving licenses to toilet privileges. I would suggest that when you eventually settle on the country, you bring a backup supply of photos. Try standing in line for a few hours and finally discover that you have to go home for more photos before your (whatever) can be stamped. I am now very settled and I still have a backup supply of photos, since ya just never know.
Best of luck!
