I received a message asking what BESIG is so I thought it might be a good idea to post the answer here.

IATEFL has quite a number of SIGs - Special Interest Groups - and BESIG is the one for the Business English Special Interest Group. In addition to IATEFL events round the world, the SIGs also hold events for their groups and the themes are oriented to their focus, as in this case, Business English. I belong to the BESIG as well as the Computer SIG, which addresses using technology in language teaching/learning.

To get an idea of what the SIGs do, have a look at two of their individual websites:

Computer SIG http://www.iateflcompsig.org.uk/
BESIG http://www.besig.org

Additionally, many countries have their own SIGs affiliated with IATEFL.

With all those acronyms, I'd send your CV/resume to the British Council (BC) ASAP.

The Americans are usually the most acronym-prone but these are British I'm afraid. Wink

How's life Hod? Still in the warmer parts?

The IATEFL website has been hacked and some of the content destroyed so they've been down for a couple of weeks. They're repairing the damage but there's no timetable for when they'll be back up. The individual SIG websites are still working though.
