I think only the small schools discriminate based on race...I got accepted at 2 big chains and I'm Chinese-Canadian. So I believe that as long as you can speak the language well and the interview process goes well, you can get a job.

Actually, I hear smaller schools are more likely to take a chance on you. I got rejected by Aeon and Geos but was accepted by Nova (but declined). Plus, it seems mostly ethnic Chinese or Japanese get jobs in Japan.
