I will be taking the CELTA in Barcelona from Nov 17 to Dec 17. I am planning to spend Christmas in Stockholm. If I would like a teaching job beginning in January 2005, what would be the best time to return to Spain in January? My friend's university classes don't start up again until Jan 20, but I'm wondering what the schedule would be like for private language schools and the like.
I've found a return flight from BCN to Stockholm for only about $250 CAD that has me returning on Jan 4, but I would like to stay in Sweden a bit longer if possible (if it won't have too big an effect on my finding a job).
THANKS for any info!
PS - I intend to send my resume around to schools before leaving in December. |

My Christmas holidays finish on January 6, but the end of the term isn't until February. That may just be my whacky school though...
Have a good day,
Lozwich. |

Normally private language schools have their Christmas breaks between Dec 24 and Jan 6. This year since Jan 6 is a Thursday classes will start up in most places on Monday Jan 10. You should probably try to return to Spain by that week to start looking for a job. |

The most likely start day (It is for me) is the 10th because the 6th is a holiday and the chances for classes starting on a Friday are very slim. |
