Any suggestions for different activities that prepare students (form 4) of differing standards for the Paper 4 oral exam? I have some classes that seem capable of the exam now yet some classes that I haven't heard say a complete sentence. Any activities, important things to remember, websites that may help, anything would be good. I'm using the 'Teach and Practice Paper 4' text book as my basis, if that helps.
Thanks a lot. |

I am in the same position, my students are bored to death with the whole thing. One thing they did like was:
elicit all the "WH" questions-what, why etc.- then tell them you are thinking of someone famous and they must ask only the "WH" questions, and in the order you put them on the board (This means that all of the question types get practiced). Then get them to think of famous people and write them down. Put them in teams and get one to come out to the front of the class to be questioned by the other teams. It worked great for me.
Now what do I do with the rest of the term????? |
