Hey I'm a student at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA USA, but an Australian Citizen. I'm taking my TESL coursework this summer. Following that, i have to do a practicum for 10 weeks in order to get certified. This would be between the end of september and the end of december. Generally, my instructors require me to be a teacher's assistant and gradually increase my teaching time until i teach an entire week of classes. I would welcome any location on the east coast. Frankly I'm not sure how financial support for this sort of thing is handled, so any offers would be welcome. Thanks.

That's a bit of a tough one. I do believe that people undertaking TEFL/ESL/CELTA etc. courses in Australia do their practicum under the auspices of and organised by their own school. You may find it easier to do your practicum in the US.

Hello,
What kind of practicum experience are you looking for?
I teach intensive ESL at Edmonds Community College, just north of Seattle. I might be able to facilitate something for you there.
Get in touch if you like.
Dan
