Is this another country to put on the list with Norway, the Netherlands, Malta, Burkina Faso and the Democratic Republic of the Congo ? No EFL jobs for native speakers ?
Seems to me it is better to start off with the question :"Where are there jobs ?" If you start off with the question : "Where is a cool place to teach ?", you will find a lot of dead-ends. Do not listen to the snake oil salesamn who tell you there are TEFL jobs for native speakers everywhere. there are not. Sorry to shatter your dreasm, but someone on this forum has to administer the reality serum.

Bosnia ?
Not much doing except through Soros and the rather dubious CIA front organisations. For some reason the Brits seem to have stayed away from this particulr can orf worms.

Soros Language School in Sarajevo is considered the best place for employment. My experience with Interlingua Language School and its director Edin Hadzic is documented on the following link.

Sarajevo is a fascinating city with unending historic sites. Getting around is relatively easy with a well functioning transportation system. Safety is not an issue. Exercise typical precautions as in any large city. Prices are no different than in Western European countries...not cheap. Excursions outside Sarajevo will delight with beautiful rolling hills, rivers and streams and quaint villages. War damage is still present physically and psychologically. |
