It's too late for me (considering work permits take forever ... I've looked) for me to get a university job in Izmir now, so I 'm thinking of taking a job in a language school in Izmir. What is English Academy like? Or what other language schools in Izmir should I look into? Thanks for any help you guys can give.

I've heard that the Economy University is still recruiting.

English Academy is probably the best of the language schools. Vacancy/vacancies may still exist.

Other language schools which treat their staff fairly are Lighthouse (new) and English West (ongoing). Both of these would suit an experienced teacher who wishes to just go in to the class, do a good job, but not deal with too much red tape. IMHO.

There are others in Izmir but I don't feel able to comment.
