Hi,

I am applying for jobs in China, but I keep on rejecting some of them because they don't recruit overseas.

Could anybody tell me schools that do the interviews in england or somwhere in europe?

I also wanted to ask if EF is that bad!!?? I have read terrible things and I am freaking out now that if I get that job they will retain my passport, won't pay me on time, and give me a horrible flat with share bathroom...
I have an Interview with them on friday, has anyone done the EF interview? What is it like?

And last but not least, I have also been offered a position with a school in Weifan and I don't even know its name!! this guy wrote to me saying they needed english teachers in weifan but he works as a consultant in porsmouth. Has anybody made applications with this guy? (weidan liu)

thanks a lot!

Irene

I don't think any Chinese schools do interviews overseas. They may hire a go-between such as Liu Weidan, whom I believe is female, who may or may not have the necessary skills and experience to conduct an interview and/or provide you with information about a school. You must remember that such people work for their placement fee. The 'information' provided by this go-between amused me:

Quote:
Chinese students are avid to learn, discipline problems are very rare, they are appreciative and hold teachers in high esteem. You will be in a stimulating environment in a vibrant forward-looking College.

Good luck with your EF interview (check your pockets before you leave).
