If you are a monoglot English speaker then should you be in a small Polish town ?
Did you never learn Polish, Russian, German, French, Sign Language ?
Is it really that dificult to communicate ? Has no one in thsi Polish town ever learned anything except Polish ? No schoolkids around ? Colleagues ? |

| I don't know what the big deal is. Lucy asked for some advice during the Christmas season when most Poles are busy preparing Wigilia and have very little time for anything else. |

| I think the big deal is that there are actually some posters who have enough time on their hands to insult others for no good reason. Perhaps these posters lead miserable little lives and the only way they can feel good about themselves for a short moment is to demean others. |

Some people are so isolated from their neighbours, colleagues and students that they cannot ask them for help. Instaed they have to reach out through cyberspace for a fellow-EFLer to tell them what to do.
It is like posting a request for the name of the best locally available vodka. Ask your neighbours.
If you cannot communicate then what are you doing in this business ? |

What indeed? I suspect Lucy has discovered more friendly and helpful communicands than us! Perhaps she is getting on with her life. Can I take a leaf from your book, Lucy?
