Actually, I never claimed to write for them, merely that, for obvious reasons, they expressed an interest in some of my writings. You, I am afraid to say, have obviously got your knickers in a twist, and, to be quite honest, it is laughable (if not somewhat pathetic). What is it they say about empty vessels?

I see, and by that I mean understand, what you, although I must admitt using a human pronoun to describe you is rather streaching things, are, by terms of definition, getting at, in your above example, a very fine one, I might add, in how the over use of commas, relative and dependant clauses contiribute to a rather stop start writing style and show a lack of concentrated ideas and thought.

However, all your commas are in the right place! Mine may not be.

Luddy continues his furious backpedalling. This is so amusing to observe ... The deer has been caught in the headlights Shocked and he struggles to get out of harm's way.

I simply do not follow them here on this (informal) forum.

So Luddy doesn't follow certain writing standards on this 'informal forum'. Fair enough. But then why does he feel the constant need to reprimand others for their own writing on Daves ESL Cafe?

The answer:
A. One set of rules for Ludwig
B. Another set of rules for the rest of humanity

Let's all put the following adjectives on the vocabulary list for our next lesson:

arrogant
snob
egotistic
autocratic
pretentious
swollen-headed
condescending

Plus this noun:
solecism

And the all-important word that describes this sorry example:
ironic

Looks like it is really digging away at you, 'Asia Rambler'. That has interesting implications for your underlying mentality (or, rather, lack thereof).

I think it would be wise to remember, Luds, as you engage in this Blitzgrieg, that Hitler lost world war two by opening the attack on too many fronts.

Hehe, Luddy is really on a roll here.

Can't swallow a tiny bit of your own medicine, buddy?

My only disappontment here is that thsi thread isn't on TV. It would be great to see dusty professor types with chalk-dust in their hair slagging each other off.

It's a bit like that sketch on the fast show with the two old geezers getting p i ssy with each other.

'You see that piece of dirt? That's you, that is...'

Keep it up, lads! I, for one, am enjoying, albeit in a limited way, funny.

Laughing

Luddy always runs away when he's criticised and when he can't defend his many errors.

But just wait til somebody on another thread commits an error. Luds will attack with vengeance and vitriol.

Are you saying that dear old Luddite is a pushover?

Or a charlatan?

Or simply the little old man behind the curtain in Wizard of Oz?

Zuji.com was selling return fare to BKK for HK$5xx, is that cheap enough?

Normal fare from HK to BKK return now is around HK$1000 only.
