I have a question and would like an honest answer.

What are the possibilities for a mid to late 50 yr old couple teaching in Europe?? Countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech republic, Poland etc.

One of the couple has EU passport and MA degree.

Any feed back, experiences, advice etc, appreciated,

Thanks

Hi Matthew,

I'm a British 40 something currently looking at going back to Europe from Asia. The most important thing is probably your passport. So long as you have at least one EEC passport between you, you will find work no problem, probably in a private language school. You probably won't make much money, but will live reasonably well by local standards. However, if you don't have an EEC passport, probably best to forget it.

Until a few months ago I used to work with a 58 year old British man.
I think he was offered 3 jobs in Spain. You have to be in the country and go around schools but I dont think age is a big problem here.
