Tim, as I said before, no one is twisting anyones arm to tap into my posts...I hope that you don't feel that you're being forced to do anything against your Will... |
I read your posts because I find many of the points of view you express to be interesting. I don't agree with most of them, but I find lots of things that I disagree with to be interesting reading. Most of the things you write regarding your views of religion and the Bible tend to reinforce my own views about those things, which are very different from yours. |

Tim - it was never my intention for this 'blog' to become bloated - I was simply following my Christian beliefs in attempting to apologize for any misconceptions or rudeness as has been demonstrated by some posts.
As for your PERSONAL beliefs - I really don't think that I will sway them one way or the other by posting here...will I?
Tim, I would have liked to sit down to a good cup of tea with you...to tell you the truth! You may even find that I enjoy a god time...that should be 'good'...oh, well, what can you expect from me anyway |

To quote Tiny Tim from Charles D i c k e n s A Christmas Carol, God bless us, everyone . . ."
However, since I'm neither a D i c k e n s' character nor tiny, I'll stick with Best wishes! as my response. |

I clicked on forum by accident. But I thought I'd have a look around anyway. Is Paulie for real? |

To Guy: A brand-spanking new COMPUTER with a rapid-drive search engine that is 'just perfect for the up-and-coming pseudo-intellectual who needs to find that just perfect jab on a speaker forum list (even when it makes little or no sense at all!)' also has a thorough SPELL-CHECK - 'just in fun' |
Ouch!

Bah...well, I accept the new puter. I get all my jabs from the best source, www.psuedo-intellectual.com/perfect_jabs.htm but it's really slow to load. |

That's allright Guy - time appears to present no problem to you at all...I mean look at all the time you're wasting here!
...or are you beginning to pick up some precious tidbits? |

I haven't lost a second of my precious time. Like you, those little bells ringing call me to action.
I left my calling card in another thread for you...a little tidbit to nibble on.
Say...when do you get time to actually do any teaching? Me, I'm working exclusively online until Jan. 3rd (excluding my trip to GDL next week). |

what does this have to do with teaching ESL? religious views aside, i'm not sure this is of any use to anyone.
how about if some of you told us a relveant story about your teaching experience since i believe that is what this website/forum is about, right?

Allow me to welcome you to this forum, and this thread guerrita!
I think this thread and others like it are about nothing else but our teaching experience. Here we are, teaching, and posting our thoughts, conflicts, passions, and experiences. What more could be relevant?
The religious bent currently under discussion is a good start. Remember, Latin America is very Catholic, so religion is going to be a part of your teaching experience somehow, somewhere.
I think I saw a thread on Cochabamba somewhere down the list. Why not check the Job Information Journal on Bolivia for some solid info. Or start a new thread, and just ask. |

If anyone is inclined toward Christian teaching exclusively - I could reference a couple of websites that will point you in that direction...
You can look up Intercristo or...
The ACSI wewbsite...
Hope this helps...HAPPY HOLIDAYS! |
