My company is transferring me to Hong Kong in the near future. I have been reading this message board quite a bit and have found valuable information concerning accomodations, the use of real estate agents and a bit on the Hong Kong tax situation. I have a few questions though that I hope someone can answer:
1. Computer - should I buy here in the US or Hong Kong? Is there an import tax on personal computers?
2. Hong Kong Tax/U.S. Tax - if you are not outside of the U.S. for an entire calendar year must you pay U.S. income tax on your Hong Kong income. Also, are there international CPAs in Hong Kong that file for U.S. expats?
3. Apartments - do they come furnished with refrigerator, stove, air conditioner, washer and dryer generally. |
