What started out as a little mini-project is turning into a monster...

I just stepped down as webmistress (master) of my MATESOL program's student association's (is that grammatical?) web site. But I still contribute to it. Part of it is a page of EFL/ESL and other English language/culture links. Its a simple page, design-wise but I have a ton of links. I want a ton more.

In particular, I am looking for interesting sites related to some aspect of Anglo culture - esp. outside the US. As I am American, I can find things easier. But when it comes to the UK, Canada, Australia etc, I find myself looking for the really stereotypical stuff. Im looking for things that an EFL teacher/student might not think to look for/at but nonetheless important and/or interesting. One example is the road trip sites I found for Canada and the US. I dont know of anyone from the US who never experienced a serious, multi-state road trip at least once but its not a common topic for culture lessons as far as I know.

Ill take any and all suggestions.

Anyway, if you want to look at it the URL is www.clubs.arizona.edu/~ellsa/ESLLinks.htm I know the page needs serious work and may need to become a separate site...

Thanks

Dear thelmadatter:

I think I understand what you're up to. Wink When it comes to searching the Web for specific topic-related links, I swear by google's advanced search engine.

Don't be afraid to enter a 'string' of key words. The more key words you enter, the more refined your search results will be.

Here is the link:

Happy searching Exclamation

PS: The link to your website above isn't working. You might want to double-check the spelling and punctuation in your URL. Wink
