Looking for quality ESL programs (class or correspondence) in NYC - preferably not affiliated with bigger schools.

I am looking for class- or correspondence- based programs for some friends coming to New York City (Spanish speaking). I know that there are many ESL programs sponsored by universities, etc. But are there any really *great* private (for-profit, I would guess) programs I could send them to for classes? What are the best companies offering ESL Programs for Spanish speakers in New York?

I'm also very interested in finding out about correspondence courses. I have heard about Ingles Sin Barreras (expensive video course) but that's about it. What about other video courses (beyond the low-end and not very useful $50-100 products available on Amazon, etc.)? Or maybe software courses?

I've maxed out my ability to make heads or tails of the information available online (its tough to tell quality from... not quality).
