Well at least Canada is mostly white(kind of) and mostly Christianish(sort of-in theory) so we should be safe from bombing since other whitish Christians with weapons would stick up for us I think? |

I wonder whether we all will have the benefit of knowing what the Great Bushy George thinks of me! |

Ah, if only it were true.
This is the same website that posted the following;
"An international survey conducted by the Green Rabbit surprisingly and grotesquely revealed a stark contrast to the compassionate world I once know: more than 70% of the surveyed respondents are in favour of exterminating the homeless as apposed to helping them in other ways.
The international study, conducted in December, found that 25% of surveyed respondents were in support of burning the homeless, while a startelingly 45% suggest drowning them as it causes less pollution. A mere 15% were against killing them outright and the remaining 15% suggested killing them only if alternate housing cannot be found. " |

Oh, neighbors who live "on the other side of the bridge" (that's what we call it in these parts). The big news scream this week is that Canada is the only nation on Mr. Bin Laden's list that hasn't felt the wrath - yet.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the most memorable sound byte: "It's not a question of if but a question of when."

Think of the countries of the world like school kids.
If two kids are fighting, Canada doesn't even stand in the circle and watch.
Canada is the kid in the library, reading the encyclopedias for fun.
Canada is the kid who puts his lose change in the Salvation Army kettles at Christmas when at the mall.
But Canada is also one of those "background kids" you see on TV sitcoms. They never say anything, they never do anything, but they are there.
And they continue to exist as a result.
If Osama wants to take out the entire show of Cheers, he doesn't go after one of the no-name guys sitting at a table or at the bar.
He goes after Sam Malone, or Woody Boyd. Or Rebecca Howe. Why would he waste his efforts going after a "no-name" guy sitting and drinking and minding his own business?
Some guy corks Sam Malone in the nose. What business is it of mine?
When I walked into the bar, Sam never says hello to me. He ignores me. Sure, he says hello to Cliffy, Norm, and Frasier.
But he never says hello to me.
So why should I get up and help Sammy? He hasn't been a friend to me. He's just the bartender.
But I helped him anyway.
I went after the guy who corked Sammy in the nose.
But the guy got away. So Sammy wanted to get someone who "looked" like him.
But I said "Whoa Sammy! This guy had nothing to do with corking you in the nose. I want nothing to do with it"
Then Sammy gets all pissed off.
That's the way I see it.
But still, I got lots of friends at Cheers... |

I like it! God, you know Woody's and Rebecca's last names? I knew Sam's. |
