In need of advice;
Within the last few days I've received offers from 2 language schools in Kuwait, namely Berlitz and Direct English.
Now I know all the downfalls of working in the Language School World Confused

but I'd really appreciate any info. on these 2 schools be it good or bad.

Berlitz have a dreadful reputation in the EFL world - for good reasons.

There's no reason their Kuwait outfit shouldn't fit the stereotype - though I've no first-hand info. I do know that their branch in Saudi Arabia pays well under the odds. Look elsewhere if you can.

Thanks.....Sad thing is that I can't stand the whole language school thing but need a year or so out of Saudi before I can come back to take up a much better position.
I figured that at this time of year maybe the language schools might be a quick option (as it is only for a year most likely) so the pain shouldn't be to much to bare!

In saying that you're so right about Berlitz (at least what I know of them in KSA) but what about Direct English? How do they fair in Kuwait...anyone..anyone?

Berlitz is a dump. Direct English is owned by Human Soft. hmmm... That should give you something to think about.
