who was it that had that thread locked, anyway?

You of all people must know what really matters is almost certainly not found in forum posts. The posts are just fun and sometimes information.
BTW the New Caring Non-Confrontational MMike still enjoys reading the Daves battles, with one question: Why does Mr Kalgushi keep closing and reopening them?

I disagree. I believe several posters have contributed good, interesting, useful information on this thread.
So, who was the first one to divert the thread by posting "No...I, thank God, have never worn prosthetics of any sort!"?
Then when the thread got back on track again, who was the one who started it off-track by posting the following?

It appears to me that when people respond to your posts with something you don't want to discuss (because you don't have a rebuttal that makes sense,) you are the one who either goes off on a *"witty" tangent, comes back at them with insults and mean-spirited comments, or cries about the fact that you can't edit their posts.
