Hi guys, this is my first post. I really need your help. I am going to go to Tokyo in a week or two for a job interview. I plan to stay as much as one month. So the usual hotel would be too expensive. Can you recommend a place to stay for a couple of weeks and inexpensive? Thank you in advance.

Try http://www.newkoyo.com/

I think it's the cheapest place to stay in Tokyo. I was just there. Very friendly staff, convenient location, and very clean. For a single, I think it's like 2,500 yen. The only downside is that they have only 2 showers for 75 rooms and the rooms are small.

Good luck!

thank you for your reply. that looks pretty cool. but the shower situation sounds like it would be a pain-in-the-you-know-what. are there any public bath houses nearby?

The shower situation wasn't so bad. I just woke up really early to avoid the line.

They also have a Japanese style bath which is probably more available than the showers. I don't know of any public bath houses nearby though.
